Bryan College of Health Sciences Security

The Security Department, located in the basement of Bryan Medical Center, is dedicated to the safety and protection of the entire Medical Center/Bryan College of Health Sciences campus. Under the Director of Facilities Management, the Medical Center Security Officers provide 24-hour security patrols and services throughout the year. The security of students, faculty, and staff is always one of the primary concerns.

Vehicle registration and parking regulations at Bryan Medical Center/Bryan College of Health Sciences are enforced by the Medical Center Security Officers. The following policies and procedures have been established:

The Medical Center Security Officers have been authorized by Bryan College of Health Sciences to help insure safety, carry out security duties and assist with the enforcement of rules and regulations on the properties of the Medical Center and College. All persons leaving or entering the Medical Center and Bryan College of Health Sciences campus may be checked. Any person on Medical Center or College property may be required to show identification to a Security Officer or Medical Center/Bryan College of Health Sciences personnel. All problems or incidents involving students on the Medical Center/Bryan College of Health Sciences campus will be forwarded to the administration of Bryan College of Health Sciences for review and action.

The success of the security staff is largely measured by the degree of support and cooperation it receives from the people it serves. All members of the campus community are expected to support the efforts of the Security Officers in developing and maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. The Security officers strive to provide a safe environment by following the procedures set forth in this policy. If at any time an employee or a student believes that appropriate security procedures are not being followed, or that the Medical Center/Bryan College of Health Sciences environment is not safe, please contact a security officer.
