Bryan Early College Access Program

Earn college credit as a high school student through BECAP.

Explore the health sciences and earn college credit through different course options online, work with experienced faculty and make connections with current Bryan students at a discounted cost while in high school.

Admission Requirements

  • High school juniors and seniors
  • High school GPA: 2.75 cumulative or above

Course Options

GSTU105*: Intro to Health Professions (1 credit) - 8 Week Online Course!
    • This is the first course that is required to be taken by all Bryan Early College Access Program students. It is designed for those who want to explore careers in direct or indirect fields of patient care. Students will gain tools necessary to be successful students at Bryan College of Health Sciences and will receive instruction on a broad range of issues, trends and careers in healthcare.

    *Counts towards Intro to BCHS course requirement.

    After you take Intro to Health Professions you are eligible to take up to 11 general education credits at Bryan, too!

    GSTU105* Fall, Spring and Summer Start Dates
    • Fall term begins in October
    • Spring term begins in February
    • Summer term begins in May

    Additional course options following the successful completion of GSTU105* include:

    ** These courses begin in accordance with the standard BCHS semester schedule found in our College Catalog.

    • Medical Terminology (1 credit - you have the option to take this course while also taking Intro to Health Professions)
    • Intro to Psychology (3 credits)
    • Sociology (3 credits)
    • College Algebra (3 credits)
    • Public Speaking (3 credits)
    • Ethics in Healthcare (3 credits)
    • And more!

    Cost

    • $200 (1 credit hour)
    • Book costs vary depending on the elective you choose
